Upon MATTHIAS'S return from a campaign, he brought back riches expecting to buy off the townspeople who lost their fathers and sons. The carts of riches were filled with rats that carried the Black Plague. Soon the townspeople began dying and MATTHIAS got the blame. Banding together they seemingly killed MATTHIAS.
