Free 802.11 Networks Around The World
|
To be listed here, a network must be running an 802.11 protocol. This can
be the older 802.11, the current 802.11b, or the bleeding edge 802.11a,
802.11g, and whatever else the IEEE invents.
The network in question should be free to use. Networks run by a
commercial organization are acceptable as long as they do not charge any
fee for consumer use (asking for donations is okay. Charging commercial
organizations is okay), and respect the privacy rights of the users.
Prospective networks can be listed here, as long as the founding member(s)
is (are) not "leaf" nodes, i.e. they will provide connection to
other networks, Internet or otherwise.
We try to keep links up to date. Please email any needed changes to
nets-list at bawia dot org.
