802.11b Network Access at Area Universities

Some of these networks are free for all, some are for university personnel only.

• Harvard FAS - MAC addresses must be registered
• Boston University - they say to use the VPN, not clear if it is a requirement.
• Boston University Law School -- VPN as well. Must use Microsoft products only? What kind of crap is this?!
• Suffolk University has an 802.11b network in the Sawyer Library. Students can check out laptops for use within the library.
• MIT. I know there are other networks run by the AI and Media labs, and a lot of smaller nets as well.
• Boston College
• Tufts
• Northeastern University
